1. start with clean smooth hair
2. divide hair into 4 section
3. fishtail braid each section
4. loosen fishtail braids so it looks soft and messy
5. lightly gather back braid, twist upward and back then secure with pins
6. over lap the braids to create definition
7. twist two front sides over lapping the back braids
